Safeguarding Policy for Children’s Paint Parties
1. Safeguarding Commitment
At Experience Painting UK, the safety and wellbeing of children attending our paint parties is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a fun, creative, and safe environment for all children participating in our events.
While we are not a childcare provider, we take safeguarding seriously and follow best practices to ensure a safe and positive experience for every child.
2. DBS & Legal Context
As a self-employed party provider, Experience Painting UK does not carry out regulated activity as defined by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This means a legal requirement for an Enhanced DBS check does not apply. However, to offer peace of mind and demonstrate our commitment to child safety, all Artists hosting events have obtained a Basic DBS check, which is available to view upon request.
3. Supervision & Adult Responsibility
To ensure a safe environment, a responsible adult (parent or guardian) must be present and remain on-site for the entire duration of each party or session. This adult is responsible for:
-
The supervision of all children in their care
-
Addressing any behavioural or medical needs
-
Providing emergency support if required
Experience Painting UK does not assume responsibility for the care or supervision of children at any time.
This policy ensures the event remains a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone and complies with safeguarding best practices.
4. Code of Conduct
We kindly ask that all parents/guardians and children:
-
Treat staff, other guests, and the space respectfully
-
Inform the host of any relevant allergies, needs, or concerns prior to the party
-
Follow all safety instructions given by the host during the session
